Hi I’m John Watson with Accrue Marketing.

When we say Make The Shift to Earnings Growth, what do we mean? It means you approach marketing with explicit goals and constraints. It means you start by understanding your sales economics. Then you chose activities to help you achieve goals.

It means you work through each step in Your Client’s Path through your business. You focus on making it easy to buy from you. This shift alone can produce huge improvements. It’s an excellent place to start.

Making the shift also means shifting your purpose. It means approaching marketing as if you are building a relationship assembly line. You engage clients with the intent of maximising their lifetime value. Your assembly line guides clients from first exposure, to first sale. Then you onboard them into your community. Then you turn them into repeat, and regular customers and on to fanatics.

Shifting to earnings growth is not just about your customer’s journey. It’s about Your Own Journey as well. A key question is, who do you need to become, to foster client relationships?

These shifts transform you, and the experience clients have of you. The shift in focus is transformational. The first shift is about improving results. The larger shift takes time to grow into. Don’t assume the larger shift is out of reach. The shift is about leadership more than technology. The technology required is accessible to any sized businesses. The paradigm shift is a choice you make and live into over time.
